This morning, Koningsdam sails into the dramatic Tracy Arm Inlet, a narrow fjord carved deep into Alaska’s wilderness. Towering granite cliffs rise sharply from the water, topped with snow‑covered peaks and ancient temperate rainforest that has reclaimed the landscape since the last Ice Age. As the ship glides farther into the inlet, drifting ice signals the approach to the spectacular Sawyer Glaciers, where massive blue slabs of ice calve into the sea.

Part of the vast Tongass National Forest, Tracy Arm is one of Alaska’s most pristine environments and offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. Keep watch for seals resting on ice floes, whales surfacing in the channel, and mountain goats clinging to the steep slopes. This is a true highlight of the journey, best enjoyed from open decks or panoramic lounges, with warm layers and rain gear recommended for changing weather.

Arrive in Juneau, Alaska’s scenic capital, set between mountains, rainforest, and waterways.
