Barge and River cruises both offer relaxed travel on the water, but the experiences are quite different.
Barge cruises are intimate and slow-paced, carrying just a few guests through canals and small rivers, with personalised service, gourmet meals, and local, immersive excursions, perfect for couples, families, or private groups.
River cruises are larger, faster-paced journeys on major rivers, visiting big cities with more structured schedules, group excursions, and a livelier, social atmosphere.

A big thank you to Entire Travel Group with a special thanks to Alison. We had mostly organised our own overseas holidays in the past but being unfamiliar with Canada we thought we would approach a travel agency. Thinking the travel agency would help us we were surprised to be handed a couple of booklets and told to go away and come back when we knew what we wanted to do. One of the booklets was Entire Travel Group so after viewing what was available we decided to contact you directly. That decision changed the Entire course of our traveling experience, excuse the pun. We sent an email to the Entire Group and over the next few days had spoken to Alison who listened, was knowledgeable and responsive to our requests, questions and doubts about travelling to Canada. At the conclusion we had holiday package which we could have only dreamed about. Alison and the team worked wonders and we were extremely happy with a holiday that was brilliant.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We have just returned from a wonderful independent trip through Canada organised by Sam Treby at Entire Travel. Sam took the time to understand what we wanted and put together an itinerary that suited us perfectly. The accommodation, tours and travel arrangements were all excellent and everything ran smoothly throughout the trip. A particular highlight was the interactive itinerary, which was detailed, easy to use and invaluable while travelling. What impressed us most was that the service didn't stop once we departed. When a question arose during the trip, Sam responded promptly and resolved it for us. It was reassuring to know that support was only a message away. This is our entry-level category, featuring barges with ensuite cabins averaging around 9m² in size. Several of these vessels are also equipped with spa pools. Accommodating up to 22 guests across 11 cabins, they provide a comfortable and social cruising experience. Additionally, a one-way transfer to or from your barge can be arranged at an extra cost.
Premier
Our Premier category features barges offering junior suites or spacious ensuite cabins, averaging around 17m². Many of these vessels also boast a spa pool for added relaxation. With a high crew-to-guest ratio, guests can expect attentive, personalised service throughout their journey. Bicycles are provided for passengers, and guided excursions to fascinating destinations are exclusively arranged. On board, gourmet meals are served daily, complemented by a selection of fine wines, spirits, and soft drinks. Transfers to/from the barge are typically included in the package price.
Luxe
At the pinnacle of our product range, these luxury barges feature exceptionally spacious en-suite cabins, along with premium amenities such as heated pools or spa pools. With a high crew-to-guest ratio, service is highly personalised and attentive. Guests enjoy access to bicycles, while guided excursions are private and fully tailored to individual preferences. Many Luxe category cruises also include one or more gourmet dinners at Michelin-starred restaurants, arranged according to guest wishes. Onboard dining is of the highest standard and always readily available. These exclusive vessels host between 2 and 12 guests in opulent suites, with all transfers included in the package.
